Design Charrette

Laying the groundwork for a LEED project can be a daunting task.  The responsibilities of many credits overlap between disciplines, while defining which credits to pursue is not a transparent procedure.  For these reasons choosing an experienced facilitator to conduct your LEED Charrette in a neutral, but authoritative method is paramount to the success of any project.

In hiring RESCUE Green your team will immediately gain the wisdom and knowledge of our experienced LEED AP's.  We will give your team the opportunity to achieve the following goals:

  • Confirm the owner’s goals for the project and define the purpose of pursuing LEED certification
  • Specify the level of attainment (yes, no or maybe) for each LEED point by identifying both the opportunities and limitations of the project
  • Brainstorm potential credit strategies and analyze results
  • Identify team member skill sets and focus their efforts on specific objectives

Through this one to two day Charrette, RESCUE Green will inspire your team to work together in an efficient and effective method.  The result is a viable LEED credit strategy that sets your project team down the path of sustainability and clearly defines the desired outcome of the project, as well as the means of achieving this outcome.

Green Project Management

The most effective green projects are created when there is synergy between all members of the project team.  Green ideas serve as the catalyst for this synergy.  We augment a project team’s resources with our dedication, knowledge, and experience of sustainable building design and construction.

Our passion for green building drives us to meet a project team’s needs through a holistic and integrated design process.  While our direct client may be the owner, architect, contractor or facility manager, we invariably serve every team member to ensure the best possible results.

We are dedicated to the end result in each and every project.  Our consultation focuses on strategies that produce the best life-cycle cost impact with improved environmental performance.

With the LEED scorecard determined in the initial assessment, we will guide your design team toward proper documentation and calcula- tions necessary for achievement. We will also ensure that the project specifications include the necessary language required to meet the LEED requirements for your project.

We will meet with your general contractor to ensure that they have the tools and knowledge necessary to create the LEED project envisioned during the design process. We will also perform quality assurance of the contractor submittal reviews making sure that all products purchased for the project fit within the parameters of your desired LEED credits.
